Repping Kolkata since time immemorial, J Trix is back with another single “Legacy”. The title aptly defines his career and his place in the Desi Hip Hop scene. The biggest to come out of Eastern India and making huge ripples in the scene with Kalamkar and Subspace. In this song J Trix takes on the beat with ferocity and hunger. He talks about his efforts to get where he is.
It ain’t Luck, it’s Hard Work and Goals and Bravery
Trix dives into the verse with some hard references and bars. His aspirations of not just being one season wonder and creating a legacy for generations for rappers to follow. He talks about his struggle and the fruits of his labour. He talks about how his perspective has changed but his hunger is the same. He eats that beat with a fast paced flow with hardcore bars.
His storytelling unveils a new level of ambition in him. He wants to create a culture and community for every other rapper coming out. The beef between rappers and pulling each other down isn’t what this community is about. He talks about how he has reached new heights and how it isn’t luck that made it. It was hard work, perseverance and talent. He made it through his music and his smarts.

J Trix has dropped a very well rounded track. The short length track packs a punch and engages the listener to the point where it stays on repeat. A motivational track with smooth flows. This a definite addition to the gym playlist. J Trix has the hustle and consistency to remain as one of the best DHH artists. Nothing but greatness to be expected.
Subspace has that Mozart beat with the new Cymbals
Subspace comes through with a very classical western melody with the violins and gives that high frequency upbeat music that compliments the bars to perfection. His use of instrumentals such as violins and cymbals instead of heavy bass drums is uncharacteristic of hardcore beats. However this ends up adding a touch of finesse and color to the sonics of the track. Overall, the production sounds fresh and very well mastered.
