MTV Hustle 2.0 has given life-changing opportunities to various underrated and underground artists. Spectra, being one of the top 5 finalists of season 2 of the biggest commercial TV shows promoting hip-hop, is known for his lyricism and rhyme schemes.
After the show, Spectra had come up with a funky track with Srushti Tawade, but he did not release a solo track of his own. But on 26th May, he came up with ‘BICKY DON’, a 3-minute funky track with Shawie on the production. ‘Bicky Don’ is an internet meme that has been viral since 2022. Spectra cleverly takes up the whimsicality of this meme and pastes it into the theme of his track.

Shawie has been producing for Spectra since the start of his musical career, hence he seems to know just what a Spectra track needs to sound like. This time around they mess around with trap music and create a vibey piece. Spectra comfortably plays with his rhyme schemes and wordplays flexing his skills.

The Music Video sees Spectra Representing his Hood ‘Noida’.
It starts with a skit wherein Spectra is interviewed in his hood. The interviewer subtly teases him over the success of his fellow friends and renowned rappers from Hustle 2.0, and then claims that Noida doesn’t have a hip-hop culture. This part of the MV shows how Spectra, despite his success in the show, still finds himself quite underrated and not very well appreciated. The fact that he starts off rapping after this shows that he is out here to prove the scene wrong, hence the immaculate wordplays, witty bars and flawless rhyme schemes. One example being the way he shouts out areas in NCR fluently in these bars:
“Ro-hi-ni” kismat “Samay par badli” khela mine jo paasa
toh chowk gye sab tola inn hatero ko bola maine suckit/”saket”
Raha “azad-pur” diya nahi fuck noida hai hood mera, gautam budh”
The track features Spectra playing around with his skills and in his comfort zone, as he represents his hood. His flow switches perfectly ride the trap beat. The hook of the song is something that stays in the listener’s mind for a while. Double entendre and witty bars can be noticed here and there throughout the piece.
