“Get Set Go” is an EP released by UMX, a Kashmiri rapper who has been making big waves in the Kashmiri hip-hop scene of late. The track is uplifting and motivational, with a catchy chorus that encourages listeners to keep pushing forward. “Backflip” is like a Mosh Pit type track (my favorite from ep), with a more ominous/hard-hitting beat and lyrics that touch on themes of kinda flex, proving himself as one of the upcoming rap star.

His lyrics are raw and honest. His Flow is so smooth that adds an extra layer of depth to the song. One of the strongest aspects of the EP is Umx’s flow. He has a natural sense of rhythm and his delivery is confident and engaging. He rides the beat with ease and his cadence is both catchy and memorable.

While the Project Falters in Some Places; it is Brimmed with Potential

One of the weaknesses of the EP is the production. While Cadence is a talented producer, the beats on “Get Set Go” are somewhat generic and lack the distinctiveness that could help Umx stand out from other rappers. The mix also feels a bit flat, with the vocals and beats blending together rather than standing out from each other.

Another weakness is the length of the EP. With only two tracks, it feels more like a teaser than a full project. While the tracks are both strong, it would be nice to see Umx release a longer project that showcases more of his skills and gives listeners a better sense of his artistic vision.
