Ladke Convict by Yashraj and Manin is out and it features two of the biggest trailblazers of the Indian Hip Hop scene. Hanumankind and Chaar Diwaari bring their unique styles to this project and mix them with the lyrically masterful Yashraj. Manin produces two melodies which are complimentary to each other yet accommodating of the novel flows of all three artists. There are two tracks in this project, THAT’S A FACT! featuring Hanumankind and IDENTITY THEFT featuring Chaar Diwaari.

HMK x Yashraj is the perfect dosage of moshpits and references.

HMK is known to drop tracks that create chaos even in the minds of most sane people, with Yashraj delivering hard-hitting references and exuberant lyrics pumping through the beat, it was destined to be a banger. “That’s a fact” has an energy which is matched by the beat breaks and the flow switches. It’s a track which has a lot of replay value and is bound to be a hit in live shows. The growing gig culture in Indian hip-hop seems to be the motivation behind the track and as the track goes, fuck a moshpit. It’s definitely an innovative mix of English and Hindi bars and at the same time crosses state borders and shows a unified growth of the culture. The song is bigger than just the great production and amped-up lyrics, it’s a testimony to hip-hop culture in India.

Chaar Diwaari and Yashraj is a combo that doesn’t disappoint.

Chaar Diwaari and Yashraj combine for a punk rock style of lyricism. They have always been a duo which just flows together very well. The track exudes a sense of rhythm which fits as if Yashraj and Chaar Diwaari were the same person. They both have a mutual respect for each other’s music which makes the track so hard. Chaar Diwaari references “Dhundhala” and Yashraj references “Mera Samaan Kahaan hai” to show the admiration they have for each other’s music. Manin has been an absolute beat on this track. The samples are amazing and the instrumentals are just overwhelming in a positive way. It is a treat for the senses. The track just inspires strength and perseverance in a non-conventional medium.

Manin is a beast. That’s the title.

Manin has used instrumentals and samples of the highest quality. The music behind both tracks is backed up by some of the best combinations of instrumentals and drums. In the first track, there’s a high-pitched progression sample which provides it with a lot of gravitas. The beat is crafted very meticulously as if the music transforms itself with every change in flow. The talent is overwhelming. The music is precious. Also, there’s a sample of a race car hidden in Identity Theft just to showcase how crazy Manin has gone on these tracks. It’s one of the most mind-boggling constructions I’ve heard.
