The mountains speak love with Dakait and Aniket on “Dev Nagri”

Post the drop of “Zyada na Fail bey” Dakait and Aniket link up again to stretch their feet and evolve through spiritualism on “Dev Nagri”, a song that involves the link between land and humans. A track produced by the iconic Sez on the Beat shows us the love and essence of the spirituality of ‘pahads’ taking us through how self-discovery finds itself in all links of the beautiful ranges of Uttarakhand. We are also given a glimpse of the culmination of poetry and scenic beauty through the very vivid visuals of the music video produced by Liberal Arts Productions.

Dakait and Aniket with their respective verses compliment each other and show the listeners just how beauty can be captured via music. The Dev Bhoomi of love and beauty takes over the musicality of both and we get some well-deserved lyricism which is melodically poetic. The hook echoes in the ears as something is being shouted at the mountains and sits perfectly over the beats. Painting beautiful scenery and inviting listeners to observe the same, the hook already blasting on Instagram reels is sure to get stuck in the heads of many.

Dakait goes hearty in his verse expressing his love for his birthplace and how he found himself in the same valley where Lord Shiva resides. Drawing scenes right from lyrics he talks about the cold and fresh water to how the lush green landscapes provide for the people. He shows how nature takes care of its own. He also talks about how Ganga maa cleanses his sins right away and death can’t even budge his love for his land. His expression for his Bhoomi calms one down and plants a seed to explore the valleys of Uttarakhand.

We see a seamless transition post the second hook to Aniket’s melodic verse which goes on again expressing his admiration for Dev Nagri. He treats the land like a lover he has been waiting for and longing to meet but whom he knows as well as the back of his palm. The reason for his love-struck lyrics shows us his devotion and a certain level of madness in love. He utilizes the ‘pahadi’ language in his verse beautifully and is sure to make a lot of noise on the streets. He goes on to show how he would treat his lover in the Dev Nagri providing not only love but everything the mountains have to offer.

Overall the song is sure to hit high likes on Instagram reels and has a good playback value with the verses chiming through the hearts of all the mountain lovers who hold the same sentiments.

Basheer

Hey fam! So hailing from New Delhi and too big a fan of seedhe maut, bhussi toh bharni hai yaar ab hip hop scene ko saamne laane mein!! Ishaan urf Basheer (my pen name, yes i also write raps) have always had an incline towards rhythm and flow of how a song progresses and how cadence and rhyme scheme makes up for a whole another level of listening experience, keeping this in mind i started off with poetry at a young age of 8 and kept on working on my skills till i actually found my voice and decided to rap just for my immediate friend group at the age of 16, from there it has been a topsy turvy ride but i never left the culture at any corner forever carrying its grace and individuality. Exposed to different cultures throughout my life being an army brat and travelling from one place to another i could just see how important it was to bring the different cultures together to eliminate the egoistic difference of superiority and inferiority, taking to which I am keen on bringing the untold and unheard of hip hop stories and music out in the light so that people see how the genre of the streets actually speaks out loud. So ill sign off by saying “keep hustling keep growing “. Dhanyawaad.
