Sambata’s Latest Single “Sod Lacharicha Paksh” is a bold and thought-provoking statement to the scene

Although Sambata had released just 4 tracks before his recent single, the 20-year-old rapper has built a huge fan base and found his comfort sound. Sambata’s lyricism quite literally represents the Marathi Hip-Hop community’s potential and sound. His musical personality is Gangsta, and his tracks feature his fearlessness and an extremely nonchalant individual.

Sambata’s recent release, “Sod Lacharicha Paksh”, comes right after he announces signing with Def Jam India. Released on the 20th of July, the 6-minute track is produced by Khakiee. Khakiee has produced all of Sambata’s tracks, including “Pinnak” which lasted six and a half minutes, and hence, pulling off a 6-minute single isn’t a challenge for them. The production is quite simple as Khakiee can be seen sampling uncanny vocals with a simple percussion loop and hard-hitting 808s. This uncomplicated production is intended in a way to complement the rapper’s vocals.

No matter how much one appreciates Sambata’s lyricism, it’ll always fall short. He has already proved his mettle in his previous works and he does not shy away from flexing his prowess in this track too. As if his wordplay and rhyme schemes aren’t enough to commend his lyrical aspects, he even chooses to drop references and quotables. Sambata can also be seen switching between Hindi and Marathi seamlessly while he talks about the importance of being real and showcases his emotional side as he talks about family and its eminence in his life.

“आणि घरची सगळी जिम्मेदारी माझ्यावर
छपरी सांगत बोलली फक्त मजा कर
सुख भेटत हे घे नशा कर
पण मला नशेतच कळलं
खरं सुख भेटत फक्त कुटुंब हसल्यावर
कुटुंब हसलं तर घश्याखाली घास गेला
कपटी दूर केले माझा कायम चा त्रास गेला”

Sambata

Apart from this, Sambata has given his tributes to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and spoke about fabricated works and artists in the scene. The title translates to “Let go of vulnerability”, and is quite apt as Sambata can be seen motivating his audience alongside rapping about life, changes that came with his success, and his Gangsta personality.
