Rahman Brothers & Circle Tone team up to create an adorable expression of love in “Jeena”

They say that to love and to be loved is to feel the sun from both sides. It’s to feel the warmth from both sides till you realize there is a thin line between warmth and fire. People tend to give their all in love. They tend to lose themselves in their better half and become so dependent that even the thought of separation stings like a bullet.

Jeena from the EP “Rahman Brothers & CO,” by siblings Faizan Rahman and Agaahi Raahi is a beautiful expression of how one feels and brushes away the angst of separation when one is in love. The song mixed by Circle Tone is a celebration of love; its beauty and its eternal nature.

“Jeena” is equal parts romantic as it is Endearing

“Jeena” in essence is a simple song both in terms of structure and theme. The song follows a standard hook-verse-hook-verse structure. “Jeena” starts off with Agaahi’s incredibly catchy hook which has been stuck like fevicol in my head ever since. Agaahi then delivers a short yet impactful verse making his intentions clear – Our love wasn’t luck, it’s destiny and I wanna make the most out of it. Faizaan in the second verse however steals the show for me with his infectious melodies. While the lyricism is nothing extravagant, both Agaahi and Faizan’s clear delivery and simple intentions more than makeup for it.

Faizaan is the main character of this song

Faizan should be given due credit both for his production skills and his incredibly endearing melodic flow in “Jeena”. The background music by Faizan is a masterpiece in itself. The beat uses two loops of different pitches throughout the song which conveyed the “heat and fire” metaphor to me. Other than that, the music had the staple claps, 808s, and other pop elements making this a wholesome and upbeat experience.

Conclusion

Overall, Jeena is an endearing song that one can hear every time they miss their boo. It’s a song that I feel should be mandatorily heard every time you have a fight with your better half. It’s a reminder of the beautiful spot that your partner has in your life.

The music video of this song deserves a special shout-out for brilliantly visually conveying the heartwarming audio experience of this song. Shout-out to filmmaker Vyshnav for pulling off a sweet and simple screenplay. Special credit to Circle Tone who yet again surprises us with his versatility.
