B-leaf and Darzi, a dynamic duo with a history of music releases spanning almost three years, have brought us their latest collaboration, “Bhabhi Hunter.” I must admit, that I was genuinely excited for this album for multiple reasons. The promotional campaign on their Instagram and the amusing lore surrounding “Bhabhi Hunter” (or Babloo Parvana) truly demonstrate their dedication to their craft. The album consists of three songs, each representing different acts as our beloved bhabhi hunter tries to impress and charm “Rekha bhabhi.”
B-Leaf’s Bhabhi Hunter Chronicles Unfolds Like a Raw Folk Tale
The first song, “Bade Acche Lagte Ho,” featuring Arpit Bala and Shauharty, was an absolute delight. The artists clearly had fun as they narrated the tale of the bhabhi hunter attempting to have a good time and flirt with Rekha ji when Sharma ji is away at work. “Aap humko bade acche lagte ho” is an incredibly catchy line that had me singing along even before I finished my first listen. The lyrics maintain a lighthearted tone, allowing us to witness Babloo Parvana’s yearning for Rekha as he waits outside her house. Shauhar’s verse also adds a refreshing change from his usual dense and reference-filled rap style. It’s evident that everyone involved in the song took a break and simply enjoyed making music together.
The second song, “Uncle Association,” transports us to a wedding scene with its vibrant instrumentation and festive singing. The phrase “Nachiye nachiye Sharma ji” echoes as our bhabhi hunter challenges Rekha’s husband to a dance battle. Babloo reflects on his loneliness (“Koi mujhko bhi sikhai, paas aakar kahe andar bhi aayie”) and his fear of growing old (“Bacche kehte mujhko uncle”). While the serious lyrics contrast with the overall lightheartedness of the album, they remain closely tied to the central theme, never taking the listener out of the immersion.

The final track, “Bhabhi Hunter,” describes the bhabhi hunter’s admiration for Rekha, eloquently mentioning her black saree and bindi in a Bollywood-esque fashion. The verse by Baijoo Bawra depicts how Bhabhi Hunter and Rekha Ji gradually spend more time together, with Rekha finding joy in Babloo’s company. The clever line about both of them coincidentally having leg day at the gym made me burst into laughter, undoubtedly a highlight of the song. The track reaches its climax when, just as Babloo and Rekha finally have an encounter, Sharma Ji unexpectedly returns, prompting Bhabhi Hunter to make a quick escape.
Conclusion
Conceptually, when I initially learned about this project, I had high expectations, and I must say, it surpassed them beautifully. This EP unfolds like a raw folk tale, and its uniqueness is its greatest strength. If you’re seeking something distinctive and playful, guaranteed to make you laugh at times, the story of Babloo and Rekha is an absolute must-listen.
