Collaborations and features are parameters that beautify and add more to certain Hip-Hop Music. Nakhre stands to be one of the best examples of this. Although MC Amrit and ReVo LEKHAK have never been on the same track, they prove what levels they can achieve if they team up on a beat. Released on the 10th of May, Nakhre sees Eyepatch on the production as both of the artists set a vibe on a rather unserious topic: tantrums.
Eyepatch has produced for both of the rappers in the past, hence he seems to be aware of exactly what is needed on the beat. The track begins with a beatbox sample that is looped throughout the song with drums put in.
MC Amrit has been an icon in underground music when it comes to voice modulation and rhyme schemes, and he flexes his comfort again. He kicks off with the hook that has a simple rhyme scheme which makes it all the more recitable. His often not-giving-a-damn personality on the mic is enjoyed by his listeners, and this is how he masters it as he talks about the famous glass-half-full optimism analogy:
“Aadha bhara glass nahi
Yeh hai aadha bacha glass
Or yeh khatam hogaya half
Mujhe full dena”
ReVo LEKHAK has been in full swing since he released his EP. The Uttarakhand-based rapper is known for his flows and storytelling.
In this track ReVo makes himself sound as if he is in a conversation. ReVo’s ad-libs are something that makes his tracks stand out, he answers his own questions and seems to talk to himself in the background via his ad-libs. He catches the theme and tone of the track perfectly. He chooses to name his proximal acquaintances in the scene while weaving it into the storyline as well:
“Didi gaane sune Dilli ke ladko ke naam kya the?
Nanku hai, Kuns, Karun, Sammad, Shauhar
Or ek dhanji hai (woh to amdavad ka hai)
Or uska naam kya hai woh maiyat wale ka? (Chaar Diwaari)
Haa or uss Taash wale ka naam? (Abhijay Sharma)
Haa badhiya gaane hai uske kon likhta hai? (Shadow…)
Lekhak Man…”

ReVo plays around with his wordplay in his verse which is delivered in a humorous way. The storytelling is so immaculate that one forgets to pay attention to his flow switches and rhyme schemes.
The overall theme of ‘Nakhre’ is how funny yet somewhat stressful it can be to deal with your loved ones’ tantrums.
The artists seem to play different roles because Amrit seems to be undisturbed while ReVo can be heard stressing out and complaining. They drive the vibe in a rather funny direction as they collaborate on ‘Nakhre’.
